Aerin Fragrances | Sophisticated, Simple, Splurge-Worthy

As promised in my last post about the launch of the new Aerin fragrances (here), today I'm going to talk to you about said fragrances.

The new Aerin line is made up of 5 fragrances, Gardenia Rattan, Amber Musk, Lilac Path, Ikat Jasmine and Evening Rose.

What I really like about this collection is that they are simple fragrances. You can actually put a name on what you're smelling (rose, jasmine, lilac).

However, each perfume is made up of more than one scent which makes them more complex and gives them a bit more depth.

What's important to know is that each fragrance has a story behind it. Each scent is actually a memory for Aerin of a particular time in her life and the same thing goes for the design on the boxes. This makes each fragrance all the more special.

I would say that these fragrances are more for grown-ups as they're quite sophisticated, they're not exactly young scents, if you know what I mean.

At first, I thought they might be overpowering but it isn't the case at all, they fade smoothly throughout the day but do stay present all day long.

Gardenia Rattan is the summer fragrance with its floral and sea notes, Amber Musk is the one for winter, very warm, Lilac Path represents spring that Aerin wanted to capture, Ikat Jasmine is the fragrance for the modern woman and Evening Rose is the perfume for a special night.

My favourite is Evening Rose*, I like the scent of roses that's here paired with cognac which adds depth and a bit of sweetness to it. I like to wear a spritz on each wrist and one at the back of my neck and smell it with every move. I've been wearing it everyday since I got it.

All in all I like the entire collection, it was really hard to pick just one favourite so I'd strongly suggest going and smelling them.

The boxes are also gorgeous and the bottles look and feel very luxurious. With Mother's day coming up (10th of may) I cannot recommend you enough to go and have a sniff at Globus where they are exclusively available in Switzerland for 139.-

Have you had a chance to smell these ? What other idea do you have for Mother's day ?
